I know you don’t read the books on your shelf, and you get overwhelmed by your phone. I know it was hard to get out of bed some days, and your bad habits got the better of you. I know not everything went to plan and you felt disappointment too many times. I know you don’t think you did enough this year. But here you are, at the end of another one, which is perfectly enough.

Whatever out of office means for you — shutting your laptop, travelling home, chatting shit in a pub — I hope it’s full of rest, fun, good food, and love; whether that’s familial, through blood or found, or simply self.
