Field Trip is design culture explored through research, literature and creative practice.

Finally feeling the momentum for personal projects build again after feeling stuck for a while. Doing client work through agencies + directly and producing personal projects all under my name felt like too much so I’ve decided to launch Atelier Scarlett as a place for my personal practice.
I love designing things outside of brands + websites so Atelier is very much design unrestricted by discipline; it’s where I’ll experiment and make whatever I feel like making. Any Field Trip merch (hopefully coming soon) will be made and sold there.
I started playing with 3D software this week to make a pendant, which is now in production so I’m excited to see the outcome of that and of course share the result.
Separating things also allows my personal account to be more personal. I get so wrapped up in being a designer before anything else that I forget I’m a human first with a life and other interests, which I forget to document and more importantly enjoy. I’ve had more fun on instagram since I started using stories to post more of my general life and the process of making stuff etc, so hopefully my grid will shift away from being purely work.
Field Trip will remain the place for the research and references that inform it all. Thank you for following along!
