Field Trip: Notes

Welcome to the round-up of things and thoughts from the month.

When I looked back at what I saved, read and watched this month to compile things for this article, I didn’t find a whole lot. March felt slow and heavy and I didn’t seem to consume or retain much. I would’ve been too hard on myself for this in the past but I’m grateful for the slow days, the sun, and the time spent away from screens.

One thing that was a constant this month was music. Spring’s always a great time for new releases and March did not disappoint. I love keeping up with pre-made playlists for new indie music like Antidote on Apple and All New Indie on Spotify.

Songs for Spring

A collection of songs I’ve listened to every day lately.

ft. Bon Iver, alt-J, Beach House, Khruangbin, Foals + More on Spotify

On Consistency

Starting something new is fun. Keeping up with it is hard. It’s a lot of output with no reward save personal fulfilment, which is great, but personal fulfilment gets old when you’re tired. I almost didn’t bother posting an article this week knowing it wouldn’t be one of substance. But I knew if I didn’t write this week, I would find an excuse not to write next week and I’d end up never getting back into it. I’m choosing to focus on the small win of staying consistent, and believing it always pays off.
